NZBIO is seeking the best of New Zealand’s bio-based companies and research organisations to showcase their developments at our 2010 conference.
The aftermath of the global financial crisis has seen an increasingly evident lack of capital available to promising companies & technologies. In 2009 NZBIO attracted its highest number of international delegates, a number of local and international investors and representatives of several large multi-national firms. In 2010 NZBIO is aiming to attract even more delegates from these areas and is offering New Zealand based companies and research institutes a unique opportunity to build awareness and interest in their technologies.
Submissions are sought from both research organisations and companies*.
Sessions will be organised to profile companies and/ or technologies according to their specific sector and stage of development. Presentations of 10 minutes, allowing an additional five minutes for questions, will run throughout the conference. Each session will be chaired and participants are encouraged to be available to meet with interested parties after their presentation.
Key issues that investors and potential collaborators have indicated they would like incorporated into the presentations are:
- Define the product/technology, its uniqueness and marketability
- An addressable market that highlights viability and profitability moving forward
- The ability of the opportunity/company to generate returns to investors
- The people involved, their knowledge, skills and expertise as a team
Reciprocal sessions where investors highlight what they are looking for, their key criteria and current foci will also run throughout the conference.
Don’t miss your chance to demonstrate New Zealand’s scientific & commercial excellence to an international audience in New Zealand.
Please contact Kirsty.jehle@nzbio.org.nz to register your interest as soon as possible.
* Preference will be given to NZBIO Corporate Members
