The NZBIO 2010 Conference Theme: Advancing a Bio-Based Economy highlights the broadening impact of biotechnology across many industries and its growing importance to our economic, social and environmental future. The conference will provide a perfect forum to explore new business opportunities across the spectrum of the bioeconomy.
NZBIO's 2010 program will cover all aspects of the life sciences from agriculture, food and health applications through to industrial and environmental biotechnology and the development of second generation biofuel technologies.

NZBIO is pleased to announce that AgResearch are the official NZBIO 2010 Annual Excellence Awards Dinner Partner.
The Awards Dinner is a highlight of the annual NZBIO Conference, with recipients of the following NZBIO Awards announced at this event:
- NZBIO Ross Clark Distinguished Biotechnologist of the Year Award - supported by Pall Life Sciences;
- NZBIO Young Biotechnologist of the Year Award - supported by the Ministry of Research Science & Technology; and
- NZBIO Emerging Company of the Year Award.
Thanks to the support of AgResearch, the evening’s entertainment will also include an exciting live cooking demonstration by Dr. Mustafa Farouk, Senior Meat Scientist, AgResearch
