Anton is a partner in the Auckland office of A J Park and has been with A J Park since 1999. He heads the Auckland office’s life sciences patent practice where he works with a group of patent attorneys with strong technical and legal skills.

His practice involves a variety technologies and patent law issues focused on protein therapeutics, small molecule therapeutics, medical foods, pharmaceuticals, microorganisms, molecular biology tools, diagnostic tools, clean tech, bioremediation, chemical processing, food technology, food chemistry, dairy technology, packaging technology, and biological pest control.

Anton advises on strategic patent protection for a number of start-up, food technology and life science companies, universities and research institutes.  His work includes preparing and managing patent portfolios to implement defensive and offensive strategies, assessment of patent infringement and validity issues, and providing general business advice in relation to patent strategy and portfolio management.

Anton also provides intellectual property due diligence advice to clients including individuals, organisations and companies to support investment decisions.

Anton is a barrister and solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand and is registered to practice as a patent attorney before the Intellectual Property Office of New Zealand (IPONZ) and IP Australia.  Anton is a fellow of the New Zealand Institute of Patent Attorneys and a member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA).
