Session Speaker "Capturing Economic Value from Innovative Plant Technologies"

Dr. Bryan is a leading Scientist in the Forage Biotechnology Group at AgResearch Palmerston North and is the Chief Technology Officer of PhytaGro, LLC an AgResearch subsidiary.  He has BSc and MSc degrees from the University of Auckland and a PhD degree from the Sainsbury Laboratory in, Norwich, UK.  He is Programme Leader of a plant biotechnology contract with the Foundation for Research, Science and Technology. Dr. Bryan is inventor on 11 issued and pending patent applications. He is currently focused on commercializing biotechnology applications in the animal forage species perennial ryegrass and alfalfa, and is leading a multidisciplinary team of scientists to develop elite GM cultivars and obtain approval to perform field trials and animal nutrition studies.
