"Anti-inflammatory Nutraceuticals Derived from Meat Industry Co-Products"
Dr Johnson completed his PhD in Biochemistry at Victoria University of Wellington in 2001 which involved developing processes for the purification of proteases. Keryn then joined IRL to purify five enzymes for the production of an RNase sequencing kit for international distribution. Since 2002, Dr Johnson’s work has focused on developing wound healing products and anti-inflammatory nutraceuticals. The team specialize in protein purification, enzyme characterisation and immobilisation and processing and analysis of extracellular matrix proteins.
